Introversion: Good or Bad?

First of all I'd like to say that I'm an Introvert too!

What's the meaning of an Introvert? An Introvert is a person who tends to be inwards, reserved, quite & doesn't like to mingle with more people and can hardly stand in a crowd.

If you are here to know whether Introversion is Good or Bad, then the answer is "It's obviously good". After knowing the Pros and Cons of Introversion we can understand why it is good.

Let's see the Cons first:

• An introvert hardly participates in public gatherings
• Naturally quite and hence, can't make as many friends as extroverts.
• Introverts are generally misjudged by most of the people.
• Some people even say that Introverts are Weirdos!
• Not very expressive

Now let's see the Pros:

• Introverts are more Creative compared to other people. Because, they use most of their time in their own thoughts and they don't get diverted easily.
• They are very good at work, as they concentrate on their work.
• They are more open when they are put to talk.
• When they tend to make friendship, they make deep connections.
• They are very thoughtful and have good decision making capacity
• They are very good listeners
• They are mostly independent

Myths that aren't True about Introverts:

• People think that Introverts can't make friends: But that's completely wrong, cz Introverts do have friends, in fact best friends whom they trust a lot and they even feel very close to them that they share all their personal stuff to their best friends just like all other people do.
• Introverts are not active on Social media: That's also wrong. Introverts are active on social media, because they don't have to meet people directly! Some introverts are even very good at communication Online rather than offline. Now a days Introverts are even trying to explore most of their skills and use Internet to share their creativity and thoughts with the rest of the world.
• Introverts are not talkative: Actually, they seem to be quite and reserved only when they are not comfortable. Once they get comfortable with some of the friends or any one, they'd just open up and speak. Well, it takes some time, but they don't allow everyone into their personal space.
• Introverts are Weird and they don't care about anything:Yes, it seems like that, but they do care about everything. The only thing is that they don't express anything. So, it makes other people feel that Introverts are Weird and that they don't care about anything which is not true in reality.

So, what do you think now? Just understand that Introversion is not any disorder, its just the way they live. Since Extroversion is accepted, Introversion is to be accepted too. People have their own way of living and we don't get anything by judging others. Let's respect each other's lives and go together by forming a better place in this World!
